A:Specs say that starting age is 3+. It can take up to 130 lbs and dimensions are 45.0 x 33.0 x 28.0. I would imagine that it might be tight for an 8 year old but it really depends on their size.

Bought this for my niece who's turning 3 and she loves it!!! We also have one for my daughter. Well built and very sturdy. Although it's not very good on tall grass, it works great on paved roads.
